Job Summary

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficient service, staff productivity, and customer satisfaction. This role oversees both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams, monitors performance, resolves customer concerns, and supports the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales, service, and operational goals. The position ensures compliance with food safety, hygiene, and labor standards while fostering a positive and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise restaurant staff across dining, kitchen, and support areas to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assign tasks and monitor workflow to maintain service quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to food safety standards throughout the restaurant.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations to build team capability.
  • Support the implementation of promotions, menu changes, and company initiatives.
  • Monitor and oversee inventory levels, coordinate replenishment, and minimize wastage.
  • Prepare daily operational and sales reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, hygiene, and labor regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Restaurant Manager to achieve sales targets and operational objectives.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in food service or hospitality, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with hands‑on operational experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for staff and customer interaction.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and basic reporting.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, manage pressure, and maintain service quality.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
